Clubhouse Code Violation Update

We are pleased to report that the code violation has been corrected and Brevard County has officially marked the case as closed.

Background

As previously reported, concerns were raised about the clubhouse structure being unsecured and accessible to the public, including children. After an inspection by Brevard County, the property was cited for violations related to damaged windows and doors on the vacant building.

The violations were issued under Brevard County Code (Case 25CE-02114) and included:

Section 22-278(e)(7), Window Regulations Section 22-278(e)(8), Door Regulations

Because the building is vacant, county regulations require windows and doors to be secured to prevent unauthorized access and reduce safety hazards.

Violations Corrected

The property owner has since taken action to mitigate the violations. The damaged openings were secured, bringing the structure into compliance with county safety requirements.

Following the corrective action, Brevard County has officially marked the case as closed.

Ongoing Awareness

While the violation has been resolved, the Sherwood Area Community Alliance will continue to monitor conditions at the property and provide updates if new information becomes available.

If residents observe new safety concerns or continued trespassing activity at the property, please feel free to share that information so it can be documented and, if necessary, reported to the appropriate authorities.

Thank You to the Community

Thank you to the residents who helped bring attention to the issue and who continue to look out for the safety and well being of our neighborhood. Community awareness plays an important role in helping maintain safe and secure surroundings for everyone.
